SPS

DTU SPS is a portal for students wanting to enquire about special educational support (Special Pædagogisk Støtte (SPS)).

ABOUT SPS

For some students, there may be special circumstances which make it difficult for them to study.
At DTU, you can apply for special educational support (SPS), which can help you to complete your study programme.

As a student at DTU, you can receive special educational support if you suffer from a documented permanent impairment. The support is intended as compensation for your impairment, offering you the possibility of completing your study programme on equal terms with your fellow students.

Various people are eligible for special educational support. Support is provided for students with physical functional impairments and neurological disorders, as well as students with psychological problems or developmental disorders. Examples include dyslexic students, deaf/hearing-impaired or blind/visually impaired students as well as students with motor disabilities or mental disorders, ADHD/ADD, depression, autism spectrum disorders, etc.

The SPS unit at DTU nominates you for the support and implements it for you.
The National Agency for Education and Quality (STUK) grants and disburses the support.

You can read more about SPS at the SPS unit's web pages at DTU.dk and receive guidance by contacting the SPS unit.
